The alchemy of change

Dear Diary:

One thing I’ll forever appreciate when I’m in the point of limbo during a change or transition in my life is the freedom that comes with uncertainty—endless possibilities feel so pure and innocent, it’s so grounding.

Throughout my spiritual journey, I’ve learned how to embrace change and be secure with the vulnerability of growing, because every time I go through change I can feel it and always get surprised when it comes. So. This year, another year another growth cycle, and this year I’m proud of how it feels, I’m proud of how I handle it. Every year I travel home, because as an African was raised with the belief that there are blessings in going home “holo hata mabala” in my language.

This year I went home and I got to stop and take pictures of my drive home so maybe you can feel how healing home is.

I went to Lesotho with my family and got to meet my oldest ancestors, feeling so blessed, I arrived there to do much love, adoration, and warmth. That I drive back feeling so full and whole. I got to understand more about my spirituality, and my history, and learned that both sides of my paternal side are royal.

The alchemy in letting life guide you and not forcing things makes life so beautiful. I get to live my life aligned with my ancestors and the divine and that in itself is such a blessing. It feels so unreal the feeling you get when you realize that you are a part of something so much bigger than the idea you had of what life is, when you start to really experience life and go through the real life-changing life experience of your journey on earth, or when you enter adulthood, the feeling surpasses any language and understanding, I always feel so blessed.

through these changes and growing pains, I see myself grow and evolve as a person, and learn more about myself through my ancestors and their life experiences.

I’m looking forward to what life and my spirit guys have in store for me, talk soon!
